Naomi Watts and Husband Billy Crudup Hold Hands During a Rare, Stylish Date Night

Naomi Watts and her husband Billy Crudup made a very cute coordinating pair on September 9 at the New York premiere for season 4 of The Morning Show. Crudup, who stars in the show as Cory Ellison, the president of the fictional News Division, wore a navy suit and tie. Meanwhile, his wife went for a similar color palette with a bedazzled, glittering teal skirt suit that was comprised of a collared top and a knee-length skirt. She completed her look with a bright red lip, a pair of strappy heels, and a silver clutch.

And they weren’t the only couple enjoying a date night at the premiere. Crudup’s co-star, Jennifer Aniston, was also present with her new boyfriend Jim Curtis—however, Curtis entered the venue separately and Aniston walked the carpet solo.

Crudup and Watts tied the knot in 2023 in a New York City courthouse wedding before celebrating with a second wedding in Mexico one year later. Watts and Crudup met in 2009, but Watts didn’t announce her split from ex-husband Liev Schreiber until 2016. Watts and Crudup reunited that year on the set of Gypsy. A source confirmed their relationship the following year.

Watts shares kids Sasha and Kai with Schreiber, while Crudup shares son William with Mary-Louise Parker.

Although Crudup and Watts tend to keep their relationship private, Watts did reveal that the “most romantic” thing he ever said was simply something to make her feel comfortable in her own skin. In her book Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause, Watts, who entered menopause early at just 36, recalled how during their first night together, Crudup saw her removing her hormone patch. “I didn’t want you to see it because then you would know I’m in early menopause, which means I am old.”

“If it makes you feel better,” Crudup replied, “I’ve got gray hairs on my balls.” Very romantic indeed.

While Watts may have been on hand to support her husband last night, she has also been busy with her own career. Not only did she make a memorable appearance in Netflix’s Too Much, earlier this summer, the actress was spotted looking almost unrecognizable in a brunette wig as she stepped into Jackie Kennedy’s shoes (and silk shirts) on the set of Ryan Murphy’s American Love Story, which will follow the relationship between Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr.
